Hi, Newbie here, Thought I'd refinish my walnut 19s since they were lookig almost black, from years of furniture polish and sitting in the garage. Used a gel stripper (3 coats and a plastic putty knife), to take it to the bare wood. Then I applied 3 coats of Formsby gloss Tung oil to complete the task. Really shows the wood grain nicely. My wife said, "You may now put them in the new house". Also, here's some photos of my other projects (If the link works). 1203s w/ 421-8lfs and 811s. Karlson enclosures w/ 605Bs no xovers.

The Nineteen's turned out very nice. I recently gave mine a good oiling and they turned out similar. The grain popped a lot more.
What amp do you run on your Nineteen's?
How do the Karlson's sound in comparison to the Nineteen's? I've never heard a pair.
Thanks,

I'm running an altec 9442 power amp (100 wpc) into a Sumo Athena II preamp , using a Rane ME 15B EQ, wich I like, because there is no tone controls on the preamp. Great sound anyway. The Karlsons have a loud, super punchy bass with the 605Bs, but they don't go as low as the 19s. They definetly don't have the presence that the 19s have either. That punchy bass though, of the Karlsons, is nothing short of amazing! To compare the two though, I'll go with the 19s in a heart beat...
